Madness in the house

Well, what a surprise we got when dad came home the other night. It was already quite late and we had settled on our bed by the back door for the night.

We were sort of sleep-drunken when we heard the gate and at first didn't quite register the strange creature entering our quarters. There it was, shining like a beacon through the night... Maddie the snow dog (our cousin, well sort of) had arrived! Madness (as mum calls her) will be staying with us only for a little while. Grandad needs to rest his legs while recovering from surgery, so no walkies for him.

Boy, are we gonna show that old dog some tricks!
