Hey boyz and gals, it's Inky here.
As you know, Saturday week ago we met up with Lili Lambert on Ocean Grove beach. We wanted to show you some more pictures of the gathering as it was an absolute stunning day. Here is me with the Lilmeister...
and as you can see, Lil' was still a little fuzz butt then which I had to suss out of course...
Then it was time to go for a dip in the ocean
and chase some wildlife (I think they are called whales)...
No session on the beach of course is complete without the traditional seaweed kerfuffle...
or in fact, a good game of ball...
We met lots of other doganauts being on the beach for the same reason as us...
It truly was a great day to sniff butt...
It was so warm that, if it hadn't been for the ocean, we would have thought to be in the desert...
and we were ever so pleased when refreshment were being served...
The following day, Sunday, we went down to another beach further along The Great Ocean Road and did the same thing all over again: run wild, go for a swim, sniff butt.
I think it was then that Lili decided it was time to shed her luscious locks in order to be able to engage in more heat-generating activity with us. So on Friday, it was Airecut Day for young Lil' at our house.
We weren't allowed in the torture chamber for all the while Lili was in there but we certainly celebrated with a traditional After-Airecut-ceremony when she came out...
Here is her "before" shot from the other day on the beach...
and the "after" shot
Well, we can say, that Lili is truly one of us now. Welcome to the club of Trimmed Fuzzbutts!!!
We've also received a couple of awards over the past two weeks.
Our very first-ever award we received from our dear friend Noah
It says: 'your blog is like a pearl...rare, delicate & charming'.
Thank you Noah, it is very kind of you indeed to think about us this way.
The second one was handed down to us from the world famous Maggie and Mitch
"When accepting this award, you must blog about the food you have stolen when your humans were not watching. If you have never stolen any food, you must have been a really good pup! You can accept this yummy tray of cookies as your reward! Next add the logo of this award to your blog (optional), then nominate at least 5 other furry blogs and let them know by leaving a message on their blogs."
Well, when it comes to food stealing, I have to say that I am an Angel.
I have my Pinkies trained to bring the food to me, basically whatever I want, I just need to look at them and they bring it to wherever I am resting.
However, my friend Molly... we'll she was obviously not brought up with the fine manners I have learnt from an early age.
Apparently she spent the first twelve months of her life snatching pieces of toast that where chucked at a group of Airedales all living at the same address, with everybody out to get the most pieces. Can you imagine the carnage??
So no fine manners there. Sadly, this trait is still very much evident in her.
So on one occasion, it was our family xmas get-together to be precise, our Aussie grandma was holding a canapé ready to eat it herself when Molly came diving from across the room to snatch it right out of her hand before it could enter grandma's mouth. Needless to say that Molly just gazzobbled the canapé with no crumbs left to spare.
Well, that's what a barbaric upbringing will do to you is all I can say.
For both awards we'd like to tag
1. Norwood
2. Sally
3. Nelly
4. Ellie and Baz
5. Tosca
if you have already been tagged, ah what the heck... you could play again?!
Lots of love, INKY

And Inky was next...
Hi all, it's Inky here.
A lot of you have been asking, after Molly had her Jacket taken off, if I was to be next...
Well, spring had kind of arrived a good six weeks early this year with very mild to warm days and trees blossoming since the end of July...
So, even though I don't mind the heat as much as Monga aka Molly, who reels her tongue out by a metre as soon as there is one ray of sunshine...
I have been getting the huffie puffies myself under that thick, fuzzy jacket of mine and it's been making me more tired than normal...
So, this time, I had actually requested for my jacket to be taken off.
I tell ya, usually I give the woman a hard time chopping my locks, because, quite frankly, how dare they steal my coat, MINE, MINE, MINE.
However, this time around, I have been called "cooperative" which I am not quite sure of what it means because I have never before been called that. All I know is, that for the half hour it took to murder all those noodle like curly wurlies of mine, me and the Pinkie didn't argue at all. Gosh, thinking about it in retrospective, I must have really been tired.
For the entire time I was in the Torture Chamber aka bathroom under construction, I just let it all happen and took the more relaxed approach (biggify this pic by clicking on it to get a real good look of just how much wool there was on me...
I even let her tizz over my schnozz, which is usually a definite no no...
Afterward, as per usual, we celebrated the NEW DOG with a traditional After-Airecut-Ceremony, just me and the Moll...
With Moll giving me the once over, just to make sure it was really me...
Check out my buttie, isn't it nice and breezy down there now??
I sure am ready for some serious, hot action now...
What a coincidence then that Winnie turned up (yes, she came back!!!) to check herself in for an Airecut.
So once the Pinkie was done with her, we had to, of course, bring on the After-Airecut-Celebrations for her, too. After all, it would have been rude not to, Winnie being a guest and all, so we went straight into a session of Mongreling-Around aka Bitey-Face which definitely qualifies as Hot Action (Winnie with the purple collar here)...
So with all that hot action going on, I sure was ready for a refreshing dip into the ocean...
Down the beach on Saturday, we met up with Lili Lambert whom you should know from a few posts back...
As you can tell, she is still one hell of a fuzzy Dale...
So guess what our Pinkies have organised? That's right, Lili will be coming for an Airecut at the end of the week. Fancy that, four Dales' Airecuts in two weeks...that's lots of After-Airecut-Celebrations for us... Whooo, call it The Silly Season!

Winnie, we'll miss ya!
Hi all.
It is with a wee tear in our eyes that we report that Ms Winnie has left. Her Pinkie returned from her overseas trip yesterday and collected Winnie in the afternoon, just like that (talk about trauma).
We are all a tad sad and the house is a fair bit quieter and empty without her.
So we've decided to dedicate this post to her...
Dear Winnie,
We thoroughly enjoyed having you stay at our place. We loved playing on the beach with you (if you biggify the picture by clicking on it you can see that it is actually three Airedales bunched together, mongreling around, not one Airedale with three tails, lots of legs and three heads)...
We loved sussing out your fuzzy butt...
And seeing your lovely face every day...
Enjoyed the long walks (you can biggify this pic as well)...
Took pleasure in the meal time company...
And didn't mind at all sharing our favourite treat, Schweineöhrchen aka pigs ears, with you (although, we must say, you're a bit slow with those)...
And you'll forever be remembered for you lovely smile...
So please, Ms Winnie, come back soon, for three times the fun is where it's at.
Lots of love,
INKY
and MOLLY
