Fun times with Riles - part one

Hi all, it's Inky here.

Remember Riley? He came to stay with us for almost a month back in April and all of us became close friends. We had a public holiday here yesterday (puppyday) so we went to stay with Riles and his family for the long weekend.

Riley lives over on the other side of the bay so we had to catch the ferry to go and see him. It was the first time on a boat for us and it was great. We had to wait in a queue before we could get on...

Then we drove into the belly of the ship (note: see how well we have been decorating the car windows with Airejuice?)...

Then we had to climb up some very steep and slippery stairs...

And finally got onto the top deck...

Here is Captain Fuzzpants Molly...

Then we left the Queenscliff harbour and it was off to Sorrento...

Lots of people came up to touch us or to take photographs (maybe they don't have fuzzpants in their lives). Molly always feels a bit iffy when she is approached by strangers so mum had to cuddle her (she is such a wuss, Molly that is)...

I was quite happy to relax and enjoy the attention of the paparazzi...

This was the first time we really got to show off our matching Airedale collars and leads that our friend Maree had organised for us (apparantly they come from a land far far away)...

As the sun started to set we pulled in at Sorrento...

By the time we got to Riley's ranch it was dark. It was great to see everyone again and I got very excited indeed. It had been a while since I saw Riles last so I had a good snap at him at first (only because I didn't recognise him, but I got told off anyway). Being the good sport that he is he took it like a real gentleman and was happy to have another one of our "mongreling around sessions"...

Ah Riles, good to see you again, buddy!

  1. Hi Inky

That looked like a full day of travelling but you obviously coped really well. Standing so high on the boat must have been awesome.

We love the photo of Molly cuddling your Mum. Look forward to reading more about your stay with Riley.

  2. What a fun adventure - we don't have ferry's close to where we live. In fact my parents have never even been on one. We'll have to put that on our 'to do' list.

    Have fun visiting Riley.

  5. The pic of Molly and your mommy is SO pretty. You look pretty relaxed on the ferry ride. I went on one in Canada and it was fun. Hootie's never been.
We are both at the groomers today, so will look quite different soon. We'll get all our hairs cut and hopefully Hootie's shaggy legs will look a little better.(He chewed the hair off in some spots from his allergies.Dumby.)
